Cos and Effect
Gonna be heading to Cos and Effect this Saturday. I *think* I will be going as Supergirl, might have to fix something on the costume first tho'
Won't be inside the convention though, as I will be only there for the one day and $20/$25 dollars for one day doesn't seem worth it
Got my badge for Kumoricon and will be going as:
-Gui (1/2 Prince)
-Link or The White Queen (not sure which one I should take...)
I got in! I might be discussing what happens to me on there if anyone is interested. I am soooo excited especially since the final movie ended (I am kinda in denial, and re-reading the books
).SPOILERS BELOW! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
I have seen this movie twice already and I have to say it's the only one that has made me truly cry. Alan Rickman is amazing! I was afraid he wouldn't be able to show emotion in this movie, but he proved me wrong!
-The Prince's Tale
-Herminetrix (though I still wish they had stuck the books in that when you take Polyjuice Potion you have the voice of the person you change into)
-The Epilogue (hated it in the book, but it works MUCH better in the movie
-Luna's line at the beginning about the wind chimes!!! DX (she isn't one to refute beliefs, but to believe in everything)
-McGonagal's line about sending the Slytherins to the dungeons (no choice? this doesn't make sense especially considering the whole "it doesn't matter if you are in Slytherin or Gryffindor" at the end DX)
-TEHSAGIRHNEAISRGSHJAFIDS KINGS CROSS!!!!!!!!!!! SO MUCH RAGE FOR THIS SCENE. Firstly: Dumbledore acts smug the whole time and doesn't apologize. Secondly: He changes his line from "help will always be given at Hogwarts to those who ask for it" to "those who deserve it" AND WHO DECIDES WHO DESERVES HELP? When someone asks for help, it's a choice factor and leads us to the final negative:
-Harry doesn't offer Voldemort a choice. The whole series has been about it's our choices who make us what we are, and that has been the difference between Harry and Voldemort, their choices.
All-in-all one of the better adaptations and the worse at the same time. Anyone else seen it? comment below ^_^
